There has been an uprising in Afghanistan, because evidently a United States military action resulted in what the U.S. is calling an “inadvertent” burning of Qurans.
The people there are basically rioting, and several have been killed by the Afghani authorities. The uprising was being called an “anti-American” protest by the American news media. President Obama apologized for this incident, and the Christian Right is outraged, especially in light of recent controversies involving health insurance and birth control coverage. They are saying that Obama has not stood up for Christians, so HOW DARE he apologize to Muslims. As if one evil justifies another.
